Terms and Policies

  1. Age Requirements

    Clients must be at least 16 years old to attend classes. Participants under 18 require parental or guardian consent, which must be provided on our liability waiver

  2. Attire and Equipment

    • Grip Socks: For safety and studio standards, grip socks are required for all group reformer classes. These are available for purchase at the studio.

    • Heated Classes: We provide mats and towels for heated classes; however, clients are welcome to bring their own if preferred.

    • Please refrain from wearing makeup or any body makeup to your reformer sessions.

    • If you have a spray tan, please be sure to shower prior to your session before using the reformer.

  3. Check-in and Late Arrival

    • If this is your first time visiting us, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled class for a brief studio orientation.

    • For the safety of all class participants and due to the layout of our studio, we’re unable to accommodate late arrivals

  4. Cancellation and No-show Policy

    • Group Classes: Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before the class start time.

    • Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the loss of the class credit or a penalty fee, depending on your membership.

    • Private Sessions: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations will result in the loss of the session credit.

  5. Waitlist Policy

    • If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. Our system will automatically add you to the class once a spot becomes available. If added from the waitlist, standard cancellation policies apply. If you can no longer attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist promptly.

  6. Membership Terms

    • Commitment: We do not require a commitment; however, memberships will automatically renew until terminated. If you choose to cancel your membership, please send notice to hello@briqhauspilates.com before the end of your monthly billing cycle.

    • Founding Memberships: If you have a founding membership and choose to cancel, you will no longer have access to the Founding Rate if you rejoin at a later date.

    • Freezes and Suspensions: We do not offer membership freezes or suspensions. If you choose to cancel, please follow the cancellation process outlined above.

  7. Prenatal and Postnatal Policy

    • Clients who are pregnant or recently postpartum must inform their instructor before class begins.

    • We strongly recommend consulting with your physician before participating in any pilates classes during pregnancy or postpartum recovery.

    • Certain modifications will be provided, and some classes may not be suitable beyond a certain stage of pregnancy. Please discuss with an instructor for appropriate class selection.

  8. Injury Policy

    • If you have an injury, please notify your instructor before class.

    • Participation is at your own risk. If an injury prevents you from safely engaging in class, we advise pausing participation until medically cleared.

    • Briq Haus Pilates reserves the right to decline entry into class due to injury or safety concerns.

    • Briq Haus Pilates is not liable for injuries sustained before, during, or after class participation.

  9. Cell Phone and Photo/Video Policy

    • Please ask for instructor permission before taking any photos or videos during class. You’re welcome to record/photograph in the studio before/after class

    • Avoid including other clients in any photos or recordings unless they have given consent.

    • No recording of instructor cues or class audio is permitted, as this is considered intellectual property.

    • Videos may only include brief segments of a class, not the full session.

    • If posting on social media, please tag @briqhauspilates in your content.

  10. Discrimination and Inclusivity Policy

    • Briq Haus Pilates is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all clients and staff.

    • Discrimination, harassment, or hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.

    • Briq Haus Pilates has a ZERO tolerance policy for discrimination and hate speech and reserves the right to deny entry if they feel this policy has been violated.

    • Any client or staff member found violating this policy will be subject to removal from the studio and potential permanent banning.

  11. Liability Waiver

    • By attending classes or sessions, clients acknowledge the inherent risks associated with physical exercise and agree to release the studio and its staff from any liability arising from participation.

      In consideration of my participation in Pilates classes, workshops, events or any activities (the “Programs”) offered by Briq Haus LLC (the “Studio”), I agree to the following terms: I acknowledge that participating in the Programs involves inherent risks, including but not limited to intense physical activity and exertion; muscle strains, sprains, or other injuries resulting from movement or use of equipment; slips, trips, or falls on studio premises; exposure to high temperatures during hot mat classes which may lead to dehydration, dizziness, or other heat-related conditions; malfunction or misuse of reformer equipment or other studio apparatus. I understand and voluntarily accept these risks, fully assuming all responsibility for any injuries, conditions, or damages that may occur as a result of my participation. I confirm that I am physically and medically fit to participate in the Programs. I have consulted with a qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations that may affect my ability to safely participate. I agree to notify the Studio’s instructors of any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or surgeries before my first class and to provide updates as necessary. I understand that failure to disclose such information may increase my risk of injury. I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, assigns, executors, administrators, and legal representatives, hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Briq Haus LLC, its officers, employees, agents, contractors, and the owners of the premises where the Studio operates, from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liability for injuries or damages arising out of or connected with my participation in the Programs, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Briq Haus LLC, its officers, employees, agents, contractors, and the property owners from any claims, demands, or causes of action, including reasonable attorney’s fees, resulting from my participation in the Programs or use of the Studio’s facilities and equipment. I confirm that my participation in the Programs is voluntary. I understand that I may withdraw from participation at any time. I agree to follow all Studio policies, rules, and instructions provided by instructors and staff. I understand that failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in my removal from the class or Studio premises without refund. I acknowledge that the Studio reserves the right to refuse service or participation in classes for any reason, including but not limited to concerns for my safety or the safety of others. I agree that, except for monetary refund, I have no claim against Briq Haus LLC or the landlord of the premises (except for the monetary refund) by reason of their refusal to allow me to participate in the Programs. I grant permission for Briq Haus LLC to use photographs or videos taken during classes for promotional purposes. I understand that I may opt out of this clause by notifying the Studio in writing. If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland. I have read this Liability Waiver and Release Agreement in full, understand its contents, and voluntarily agree to its terms. I understand that by signing this document, I am waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue the Studio, its employees, or affiliates for injuries or damages arising out of my participation in the Programs.

  12. Privacy Policy

    • We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected is used solely for providing our services and will not be shared without your consent.

  13. Security and Recording Policy

    • Briq Haus Pilates utilizes security cameras that continuously record activity within the studio for safety and security purposes.

    • While attending class, Briq Haus staff may record or photograph sessions, which may include you in photos or recordings.

    • By acknowledging these terms and participating in class, you consent to Briq Haus Pilates using these photos or recordings on our website and social media outlets.

  14. Lost and Found Policy

    • Briq Haus Pilates is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced items.

    • Any items found in the studio will be placed in the lost and found area.

    • Unclaimed items will be donated or discarded after 14 days.

  15. Code of Conduct

    • Respect for instructors and fellow clients is expected at all times.

    • Disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from the class without a refund.
